India's first pickleball league for lawyers started in South Delhi.The event, called the LawStrings Pickleball Premier League (LPPL) – Lawyer's Edition, took place on 24 and 25 May 2025 at REPPP in Mehrauli.It was a special tournament for lawyers to enjoy sports, stay active, compete, and meet others in the legal field.

The LPPL was designed to bring lawyers together through sports, fitness, competition, and professional meetings.

It allowed legal professionals to connect in a different setting, away from the courtroom and office, through organized pickleball matches.

This league gave the legal community a new way to interact with each other.

The event not only had competitive matches but also focused on health, friendship, and casual conversations among lawyers and other legal professionals.

Eight teams from the legal community participated in the first edition.

Each team was connected to different members of the legal profession.The tournament had different categories for players to compete in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles.

Smash Squad, owned by Senior Advocate Sonia Mathur, took the Gold Cup in the first tournament.

Legal Pickle won the Silver Cup, and Net-workers won the Bronze Cup, bringing the first edition to a successful end.

The first LPPL was held at REPPP in Mehrauli, South Delhi.

The venue offered a great place for lawyers to play, meet friends, and take part in an event that was both competitive and community-focused.

The league brought together fitness and professional networking.

For lawyers, pickleball created a fun way to meet colleagues while participating in a structured sporting event.

For the second season in 2026, LawStrings introduced an auction system for selecting players, specifically for lawyers.

It continued to focus on competition, fitness, and professional networking.

The league started as a one-time event but developed into a continuing platform for lawyers, advocates, and legal professionals.
